Classes & Workshop Offerings

01 / Wellness Series or Single Class

A multi-part Stress Reduction & Calming Techniques Series or Single Class.

This genuinely trauma-informed, intersectionally and culturally inclusive series can be taught 1) through 3, 4, or 5 individual one to 1.5 hour classes, or 2) through a 1.5 hour introductory class.

Topics may include essential stress and wellness 101 education; practical calming techniques; Reiki Level I and II fundamentals; grounding practices through art and crafting; and building relationships and rituals with Traditional Indigenous Plant Medicines and Herbal Remedies.

The series and introductory class concludes with gently nourishing Sound Medicine (sound bath).

02 / Sound Medicine

A gentle blend of drumming, handpan, and crystal singing bowls, usually offered for up to 30 minutes within a one hour class. My instrumental musical composing interweaves my multicultural Medicine and practices with underlying elements which can be found in forms of “Sound Bath” or a “Sound Healing”.

This is generally paired with teachings and discussion about the sound instruments I work with, along with topics such as Moontime teachings and honoring, nervous system calming education and techniques, tending and healing trauma and PTSD, Indigenous reconnection, Storytelling, and more.

This offering is generally provided for teens, adults, and seniors, but are sometimes included in multigenerational “Indigenous Storytelling” classes, (rather than a craft component).

03 / Indigenous Storytelling & Cultural Preservation

This immersive and interactive 1.5 hour workshop is designed to bond and connect young children, youth, and their multi-generational caretakers and families through Indigenous stories and practices.

The storytelling is offered in a show-and-tell style, and families are taught how to craft simple beaded bracelets, necklaces, or small leather bags. For classes with small children, leather cord and large pony beads are utilized to make bracelets or necklaces; older children and teens may be offered slightly smaller glass seed beads. All required materials are provided.

This class is wonderful for all generations and appropriate for ages 3 and up. Family (including chosen family) are encouraged to work together in the crafting component, and caretakers of children younger than 13 are required to be present with their children for the full duration.

04/ Quillwork Earring Classes

This class introduces students to the basics of Quill Earring making in the style of my Wabanaki heritage as taught by my Elders. We honor Porcupine and its Medicine, and learn how to work with its quills through Ceremony, cleansing, trimming, and other preparation.

All necessary materials such as glass seed beads, threads, needles, tweezers, and beed boards are provided. Students learn how to complete pair of wearable, individually hand-made single loop quill earrings with a simple tie off at the top.

These classes are most often taught over the course of two 2-hour classes. For ages 14 and up.

05 / Global Indigenous Community Sharing Circles

A space for Global Indigenous community members to come together and receive support and Good Medicine for our shared experiences.

Created by and intentionally for individuals of marginalized intersectional backgrounds within these spaces, such as 2S, Indigequeer, and female veterans and individuals; DV and MST survivors; those within the neurodivergent and disabled community; and others.

Some circles may include crafting, art, Sound Medicine, or educational class topics and teachings.

06 / Mindful Parenting with Loving Boundaries

Many adult parents of young children today were raised with and taught to emulate either extreme and traumatic authoritarian discipline, or overwhelmingly gentle parenting styles lacking in structure and balance. Sometimes the latter adoption results from the former experience!

In this workshop, we explore an alternative approach. This parenting and family experience is mindful, present, and kind, and contains healthy, loving, and sustainable boundaries and structure.

Supportive for all family structures, especially those with single parent or caretaker households, and parents or children with PTSD or neurodivergence such as ADHD and ASD (Autism Spectrum). Can be taught as a series or single class.

07/ Decolonized Reiki Level I Fundamentals Classes

Frequently, Reiki level I and II classes are taught together over the course of a weekend, culminating in students receiving a practitioner certificate and direction to facilitate healing for others. While this approach may work for some students, others very often feel lost and overwhelmed. This can be especially true for students who have not been vetted or lack a background in facilitating wellness.

Healing facilitation requires culturally appropriate trauma-informed care practices, and significant preparation. It also needs a foundation of personal work and growth, a deep familiarity and comfortability with the Medicine to be offered, and committed, sustainable personal practice.

This fundamentals class separates Reiki Level I (personal) from Reiki Level II (practitioner), as I’ve taught it for many years prior. It introduces the basics of Reiki, its history, and practical application techniques; healthy, strong boundaries; and the importance of self-care and tending. One attunement is provided. The class also interweaves elements of my Traditional Medicine practices, and emphasizes the significance and responsibilities of learning and practicing forms of Traditional Medicine on Stolen, Occupied Land.

Participants receive a Reiki Level I self-practitioner certificate and homework for continued practice.

This class is most often taught over the course of two 2-hours. For ages 16 and up.

08 / Mə̀note Nə̀pison | Indigenous Cultural Preservation and Grounding through Art and Crafting (Making Medicine Bags)

During this class, students are introduced to a form of grounding through the creation of Art and Good Medicine within small leather bags, or personal Medicine Bags.

During our time together, I teach about the historical significance of the Medicine Bags and Deer Medicine, and we craft them in the style taught to me by my Wabanaki Elders. These small bags are made from deer hide and may be adorned with glass beads, paint, fur, or other materials passed down by my Elders.

As with all crafting class, all necessary materials such are provided. When making simple bags without adornments, classes are one hour; more ornate styles may require a class time of up to 3 hours, including breaks.

Typically taught to young adults, adults, and elders; teens as young as 14 may attend on a case-by-case basis, or teen classes may be requested.

09 / Traditional Medicine Support for Yoga Practice

A blend of Traditional Medicine Practices, Reiki, and Sound Medicine. Can be facilitated during a collaborative Yoga class with a trusted community teacher.

2026 / 2027

Beginning in June of summer 2026, I resumed teaching by offering 30 free Giveaway Medicine classes and events through the Seattle Public Library’s Summer Quest (Summer of Learning) Program! Some have been taught as multi-part workshop series across several weeks, and others were individual, “one-off” classes or events.

The topics reflect much of my life’s work as a Culture Keeper, wellness provider, artist, storyteller, and educator for over 20 years.

My Summer Quest workshops have included Stress Reduction, Traditional Medicine, and other Calming Techniques for various age groups (including children); Quill Earring, Medicine Bag making, and Indigenous Cultural Preservation; and Indigenous Story Telling and Teachings. Sound Medicine / Singing Bowl Sound Baths have been interwoven into many of the Stress Reduction Classes and all Series Workshops, as well as two Storytelling events at the end of August.

If your library branch, community center, wellness center, or studio would be interested in hiring me as a Contractor to continue my Giveaway Medicine classes for the community, or collaborating with me as an Educator following these summer programs, please contact me!
