Performance Event: Indigenous Storytelling & Sound Medicine (1hr)
On Monday, August 17, Seattle Public Library’s Beacon Hill Branch will offer Indigenous Storytelling & Sound Medicine with Siobhan Kekoa, a relaxing and immersive one-hour experience designed for kiddos and their caretakers, elders, and community members!
During this event, I'll read Indigenously authored and illustrated picture books, My Powerful Hair (Lindstrom) and Charlotte’s New Moccasins (Moudahi). You and your young ones will also briefly learn about and enjoy gentle, nourishing Sound Medicine (sound bath) with crystal singing bowls, a handpan, and a bison-skin drum. Those with young children or toddlers are encouraged to join!
