This summer, Raven Village in partnership with Seattle Public Library’s Ballard Branch will offer Indigenous Storytelling & Craft-Making with Siobhan Kekoa, a 1.5 hour workshop workshop designed to connect young children, youth, and their caretakers and families to Indigenous stories and practices. The story being read is the beloved children’s picture book, Charlotte's New Moccasins (written by Jenn Moudahi and illustrated by Rhael McGregor), shown here!
Singing bowls not included in the Aug 25 workshop; please visit the calendar to learn more about the prior event on Aug 17, 2026, and inquire about booking at your local library, cultural space, or community center.
During the workshop, you and your young ones will also be guided through making a craft such as a small beaded bracelet or leather bag.
All required materials will be provided for up to 20 students, and may include leather cord, hide, and/or beads. Pony beads may be offered to very small children, and large glass beads may be offered for older children if desired.
Please note that materials may present a choking hazard, so small children may not be left unattended.

We look forward to seeing you!
