This summer, Seattle Public Library’s Northeast Branch will offer Indigenous Storytelling & Beaded Bracelet Making with Siobhan Kekoa, a 1.5 hour workshop workshop designed to connect young children, youth, and their caretakers and families to Indigenous stories and practices. The story being read is the beloved children’s picture book, Charlotte's New Moccasins (written by Jenn Moudahi and illustrated by Rhael McGregor), shown here!

During the workshop, you and your young ones will also be guided through making a small beaded bracelet.
All required materials will be provided for up to 20 students, and may include leather cord, hide, and/or beads. Pony beads may be offered to very small children, and large glass beads may be offered for older children if desired.
Please note that materials may present a choking hazard, so small children may not be left unattended.
